t the awards ceremony in Manchester last night, the Winners and Highly Commended entrants for the UK National Government Opportunities (GO) Excellence in Public Procurement Awards 2017/18 were announced. Hosted by TV presenter Sarah Heaney, the Awards were a glittering finale to the North of England’s Festival of Procurement, which kicked off earlier in the day.

One of those winners was our Scottish team alongside the Scottish Procurement and Commercial Directorate for the GO Best Service Category – Private and Other.

This is in recognition of our continued work as sole supplier to the whole of the Scottish Public Sector through the Print, Publishing, Design and Associated Services (PPDAS) Framework.

Allan Doyle, Managing Director of APS Group Scotland said, “Since 2014, this Framework has provided many opportunities for innovation in both product and service delivery. Over the past 3 years we have achieved what we set out to do: promote and expand participation in the Framework; deliver measurable savings; provide service excellence against KPIs; develop and expand a network of SME suppliers and support communities, businesses and charities through established CSR initiatives.

For us, the service could not have been effectively delivered without significant engagement with contracting organisations and end-users, so we’d like to say a big thank you to them. We’d also like to say a final thank you to our community partners and supply chains, without whom a service like this wouldn’t exist.”
